What’s it like to work at a nuclear power plant? What kind of experience or education does it take, and what does a normal day look like?
These are all great questions that have a surprisingly diverse set of answers, depending on who you ask. But, that’s exactly what you can do on September 15 – talk to those who work at the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant.
For 45 years the plant and Monticello community have worked together as good neighbors, helping create a vibrant and prosperous central Minnesota. Together we’re building on that partnership to lead the area into an economically robust clean energy future.
So, please join us on September 15 at the Training Center! Families will enjoy fun experiments suited for all ages. Everyone from students to veterans can get insight into careers in nuclear energy from plant employees, tour the plant’s full-scale control room simulator and learn about the technology we use to operate the plant.
A free picnic dinner will be served. Pre-registration is not required.
