Party All Weekend at the Como Park Zoo & Conservatory’s “Party for the Planet”
Calling all you party animals out there ”¦ If you’re looking for a fun way to salute the planet and learn a little about conservation, look no further. Join Xcel Energy at the Como Park Zoo & Conservatory’s Party for the Planet.
The party starts on April 19 and lasts all weekend long, through Earth Day on April 22. Stop by, take a stroll through this world-class zoo and learn how cool it is to conserve. Participate in activities, crafts and educational programs that explore the animals, plants and people that depend on the Earth.
Don’t forget to visit us at the Xcel Energy booth—we’ll help you find easy ways to make a difference by cutting back on your energy use. Learn about powering your home with renewable energy through our Windsource® program, getting cash back into your pocket with a variety of rebates, or small steps you can take to decrease your energy use. You can even test your EQ (energy quotient) by taking a quiz for a chance to win a great prize.

Whether you’re headed out for some planet-friendly fun, or just need to get to the office, consider riding the light rail on April 22. On Earth Day, the Metro Transit’s Hiawatha Line is being powered 100 percent by wind energy, through our Windsource program. Why not ride this rail and get to your destination with GUST-o!
